Billy began his career in veterinary medicine in 1992. He found his love for the profession after owning his first Akita. In addition to working in the veterinary field, Billy has traveled throughout the lower 48 studying the behavior of wolves in captivity. His love of both animals and nature brought him to Alaska in 2005 with his wife and 2 kids fulfilling a lifelong dream of living in the Last Frontier. In his spare time, Billy enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking and coaching, and playing hockey. Besides the humans in his family, he also shares his home with 3 dogs, 3 cats, and several reptiles.
