Dr. Anna Engel grew up in Rhinelander, Wisconsin (home of the Hodag!) and received her DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. Her love of the outdoors and snow drew her to Alaska.
Anna believes in providing compassionate and quality care through evidence-based medicine for all companion animals, including the more "exotic" species such as small mammals, reptiles, and birds.
Anna's absolute favorite thing to do when she isn't helping our furry friends is nordic skiing. She has competed at a high level in many races, with her favorite distance being the marathon (50 km). She also enjoys both road and mountain biking, running, and paddling.
