Dr. Sarah Stevens is from Alliance, OH. She went to Hiram College for undergrad (Major in Biochemistry), and obtained her DVM degree from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She is interested in zoo medicine as well as exotics, and has a background in wildlife rehabilitation. She spent extensive time during veterinary school at externships in wildlife centers and zoos, including international programs in Thailand, Central America and South Africa. She completed a rotating internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital and a specialty internship in exotic medicine at The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine and spent two years in an exotic only practice in Salt Lake City. She has two cats, named Abu and Moonlight and two rabbits named Aladdin and Merlin. Her favorite exotic pet is a rabbit. She enjoys hiking, white-water rafting, reading and working on craft projects.
